My name is Genevive Lomibao, a Kindergarten teacher for children with Extensive Special Needs, and I’ve been in the field of teaching for 23 years now. I graduated with a Bachelor of Secondary Education, Major in Physical Education and taught for 10 years in the Philippines. Thereafter, the experiences of witnessing the changing behavior and challenging generation of students led me to take a Masters Degree in Special Education and taught in Singapore for 7 years, prior to coming here in California in 2015. I love to travel and see places around the world to learn different cultures and traditions, without leaving my career behind.
My profession opens up an opportunity to hone my craft overseas, with a huge consideration in race and equity. The beautiful sceneries, culture and most especially the people I came across with adds up to make my teaching extraordinary and more meaningful. Being away from home, my daughter calls me a “virtual mom”, who is always online 24/7. I am a mother of three beautiful “angels” (all girls, Adriel (20 y.o), Mickee (19 y.o.) & Lindsay (16 y.o.), and happily married to my ever supportive husband Mike.
