    English - AP Literature (H)

    Prerequisite: Teacher recommendation and successful completion of summer assignment required in order to earn a mark of "B" or higher during the first quarter. A student who elects to take this course, but whose previous test scores and grades do not support this choice, may ask his/her counselor for a waiver application.
    Graduation: Satisfies both WCCUSD and UC/CSU graduation requirement for one year.
    Description: A college-level study of literature and composition designed to challenge academically motivated students who want an introduction to both classic and modern literature. Students develop literary criticism skills and will write extensively. If students pass the Advanced Placement examination, they receive transferable college credit.
