    Photography Beginning

    Prerequisite: none
    Graduation: Satisfies WCCUSD elective credit for graduation
    Description: This is a two-dimentional art class. Students study the processes involved in taking photographs and producing finished prints. Students must own or have access to a 35 mm SLR camera (not necessary, but helpful). Students need to purchase materials used in this course.

    Photography Advance (ROP)

    Prerequisite: Teacher recommendation
    Graduation: Satisfies WCCUSD elective credit for graduation
    Description: A two-dimentional art class. Deisgned for students seeking career level skills in photography and photo printing. Students exhibit work in community and school shows and are required to complete a portfolio. Students purchase some materials used in this course. Students should own or have access to SLR 35mm camera.

    Web Page Design 1 (ROP)

    Prerequisite: none
    Graduation: Satisfies WCCUSD elective credit and Computer Literacy requirement for graduation
    Description: This is a fun-filled, fast-paced project oriented class! It is designed for beginners as well as advanced computer users. Students learn to create web pages using a variety of software programs, as well as use HTML for more control and flexibility in designing web pages. Students also learn how to create their own web graphics, including animated graphics. Students help to produce and maintain the PVHS Web Site, participate in internships and job shadows and go on study trips to technical colleges.

    Web Page Design 2 (ROP)
     

    Prerequisite: Web Design 1, or recommendation of teacher
    Graduation: Satisfies WCCUSD elective credit and Computer Literacy requirement for graduation
    Description: Students who enroll in this course manage the Pinole Valley High Web Site as well as create and deisgn web sites for PVHS staff, local businesses and nonprofit organizations. Students learn JavaScript as well as other advanced web page design techniques and will build a personal "e-folio" of their work. Additionally, students will create a market a product online. Opportunities to participate in internships and job shadows as well as go on study trips to technical colleges are available.
