Tech Academy (ITA) Overview
The Technology Academy is a focused learning community within De Anza High School. We invite intellectually curious learners to study digital arts, coding, robotics, video production, and web design with teachers who believe in preparing students to think critically about technology and its impact on society.
Vision Statement
The Technology Academy will provide students with an academically rigorous, project-based program that will educate, expose, and prepare students for college and career.
Academy Course Sequence
Beauty and Joy of Computing is an introductory course for all Gr. 10 students in ITA
Juniors choose an area of focus through Digital Arts or Computer Science
Digital Arts
Digital Arts Designs the Web is concentrator course for Gr. 11 students
Web Page Design 1 and Web Page Design 2 is a capstone course for Gr. 12 student
Computer Science
Computer Science is a concentrator course for Gr. 11 students
Computer Science Advanced is a capstone course for Gr. 12 students
