Dear Lupine Families,
At Lupine Hills, we celebrate the rich diversity that each student brings to our community. Every child is unique, and their individual experiences, backgrounds, and perspectives contribute to a learning environment that is vibrant, dynamic, and full of opportunities for growth. We strive to create an atmosphere where every student feels respected, valued, and empowered to express themselves.
Inclusion is the heart of our school culture. We are committed to fostering a learning environment that is inclusive, welcoming, and equitable for all. Our anti-racist work is integral to this mission. Together, we create a community where differences are celebrated, and everyone is supported in their journey toward success. Our work is not just about awareness, but about taking action to ensure that every student feels seen, heard, and valued. We are committed to continuing this important work, and we invite all families to join us in the effort to create a more just and inclusive community.
Our Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) is the backbone of our school’s community. From organizing events and fundraisers to supporting teachers and students, the PTA plays a crucial role in enhancing our school’s programs and enriching the student experience. This year, we’ve seen a surge in participation, and I am deeply grateful for the ongoing commitment of our PTA members. If you haven’t already, I encourage you to get involved—your voice, your time, and your ideas are invaluable as we work together to create the best possible environment for our children.
Our school garden continues to be a space for both learning and growth. It is a place where our students engage in hands-on learning about sustainability, nutrition, and the environment. The garden program gives the students hands-on experience with their science curriculum and offers a unique opportunity for students to see the fruits of their labor, literally! We are currently fundraising to keep our garden program at Lupine.
As we move forward, let us continue to embrace and uplift one another. Together, we can create a school community where diversity is celebrated, inclusion is prioritized, collaboration is valued, and every student is empowered to succeed.
Sincerely, Poppy Sheldon Principal, Lupine Hills Elementary
