Welcome to my page!

I'm Ms. Shannen Besas—students call me Ms. Shannen, while teachers use Ms. Besas. As an RSP teacher, I provide support to students in their general education classes and offer tutorial periods for middle school RSP students. With five years of experience in teaching and supporting students with special needs, I started my career in the Philippines before joining Hercules MS for my second year here.

Outside the classroom, I have a passion for swimming and reading. I’m a huge K-drama fan and a long-time Swiftie since Taylor Swift began her career. While I used to dance hip-hop in high school, I’m not sure if I still have those moves! I tend to be quite energetic and spontaneous—partly because of my ADHD. 

In terms of books, I adore rom-coms and young adult fiction, and I’m also a big fan of horror movies. My brother and I love keeping up with the latest releases. When it comes to food, I enjoy sweet and sour dishes, though I’m not a fan of fish and eat only a small amount of vegetables. I am a dog person and adore otters so much.
