• Physical Therapy (PT)

    Physical Therapy is considered a related service under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). Physical Therapy is provided in the school setting to assist students in accessing their educational program. School-based Physical Therapists assess/consult the physical environment of the facility (classroom, campus) and devise strategies to help accommodate the needs of the student; assess/consult on the needs of the educational staff and provide training, which serves to help the team provide a more appropriate educational program for the student; assess/consult on the needs of the student to participate in the educational program and provide appropriate instruction to that student.
