• Hercules Middle School students have been issued a Chromebook for use as part of their educational curriculum. We believe that these devices will help improve our students overall growth and help develop skills that are necessary in the 21st Century. These 21st Century skills include:

    • Critical and creative thinking

    • Problem solving skills

    • Information and computer skills

    • Technology literacy

    Families need to be aware that WCCUSD uses advanced software for Internet content filtering and has procedures in place to protect our students from harmful materials. Filters may not block all offensive materials and/or students may find ways to access inappropriate materials. Parents are to sign a and return to the school office.

    Once the Chromebook has been issued to a student, the device will stay with them for the remainder of their academic career, or until they withdraw from this school. Students will be responsible for bringing their device to school with them every day, taking it home at the end of the day, and charging it for use before the next day. It is important to note that these units stay with the students 24 hours a day, and are not to be left unsupervised at any time.
